i read deaths aegis before i read petal steps so maybe im a bit biased but i honestly felt like the au worked EVEN BETTER with DA, coz it really felt like a juxtaposition to stick midoriya in a hades role but then the kind of death he was turned out to be so perfect and OF COURSE endeavor is hot sirocco summer, too bright to stand, and of course todoroki is life and bright things and cant let death steal the fragile things he makes. this is so incoherent im sorry i just rly love deaths aegis

Yeah tbh I like it better too. It’s weird because the PS arrangement seems like it’d be the obvious one, bright bombastic Izuku as life and brooding Shouto as death, but when you really sit down to write it, it’s full of holes and things don’t line up quite like they should. On the other hand the DA arrangement seems backwards at first glance, but the more you think about it, the more things fall into place.

So yeah I 100% know what you’re talking about and I love Death’s Aegis too.
