Although I was certainly familiar with his biggest hits, I must confess, I never followed his career very closely. In reading about his life today, I learned that one of his first bands was called Revelation Funk, and they had a brief appearance in the movie “Dolemite.” Sounding like something that would be more in my musical pocket, it piqued my interest, so off to youtube I went, where I found this clip to share.
