hello all! we hope that everyone had a relaxing, hydrated week thus far and that we’re all excited for the upcoming weekend! before we get to business, we wanted to take the time to appreciate and love our members! you guys have fearlessly and consciously communicated your questions, comments, and concerns to us since we’ve opened almost four weeks ago! we’re so so thankful for this and we would, truly, not be where we are today without you guys! when the admin team got together over a month ago to begin making this group, neither of us had anticipated the growth that we have had or the pace that it happened at! we both wake up every day to be so grateful that you guys decided to apply and that you guys have, also, been wonderfully gracious with us as we deal with challenges that have been coming our way!
as of late, one concern that we have been receiving often is that our members are becoming overwhelmed with the size and pace of the group. to ensure that protentional applicants are aware of this, we have now added a disclaimer in our rules that alerts them to these concerns. to help solve this issue from the inside, we also published a survey this past thursday about how many muses members were allowed to have. while we, as an admin team, have been discussing this for a few days before thursday, we ultimately wanted to included our members in the decision since everyone joined under the pretense that they could have the chance to be writing up to six muses. of the responses we received, we received an overwhelming yes in wanting to reduce our muse count. however, the results were split between wanting more than three muses and wanting three muses. as an admin team, we decided that we all adjust the allotted number of muses to four muses and that our diversity rule will still remain intact with this change! however, with this amount of muses, we do want to emphasize that it is not mandatory to have four muses and we encourage members to take on the amount of muses that they feel most comfortable with.
we would also like to take this time to address things that we have been noticing. to begin with, the admin team is only human. we, also, have many in real life stressors happening as you do and we do understand that issues can get overwhelming at time. nevertheless, please remember to treat us how you would like to be treated. we will also like to take this time to remind everyone that the discord groupchat is not a place to hash out plot specifics or heavily headcanon out relationships, either. this ends up for an uncomfortable environment for everyone who does not have a muse involved in a conversation. we absolutely adore the excitement, but please take the conversation to the dm’s, especially when the conversation begins to dominate a chat. in addition, we love love seeing everyone brainstorm ideas for new muses, but please make sure that you are doing so in the correct channel or in the dms!
