Drain my bottle to fill your cup.

Without my wits your out of luck .

I’m not a wall to hold you up .

My house is glass and you’re a rock.

So cast your stones to other plots .

Once wounds are torn they aren’t forgot.

I will not play the captive moth

So from your hands I will float off .

The Storm

last night was a wet one

the black cloud rolled in

it purged from it's heart every unbridled sin

and rained with a force that i thought might begin

to flood out my mind,

then with briefest of whim

there unleashed a thunder that was living within

a place that i hunt for to capture the wind.

The gust that inspires my pen once again

To float like a kite, lifting higher to send

me into the cloud where I can make amends

with the distance I've come

since I thought all should end.

The Light

I long for enticement

I yearn for a sight that

just strikes, and excites,

sparks a light and it’s like

Im shining all over for a chance that it might

illuminate something I can feel from inside

deep beneath these blue eyes

I want more than just fine

want to grab onto life and reclaim what was mine.

that will to just ride

get up, go, stay alive

thinking quick for the thrill on my toes just to thrive.

and as time passes by through my fingers i find

it’s not slipping but falling into a nice little line

I can graph like the slope of a rising incline.

starting where x meets with y

from point zero ive climbed

farther than I thought I would ever arrive.

So right now is no time to plateau into fine

and I’ll search for that light till the day that it’s mine,

or the day that i die.

whichever comes first

on my search for that light.

Wake Up

Wake up!  Smell that coffee brewing  Like the tensions feuding  And open your eyes Raise your head from that pillow That your using to suffocate your voice By keeping the light out

Get up! Stretch your arms extending yourself to the day Straighten your back And breathe in that air of change That warm, sweet scent That remind me of a man that once told me "Peace, love, and pancakes" Now those are words I think i could eat If your voice was your breakfast do you think it'd be sweet? Cause I think it'd be neat To only expel what you want to receive  If I served you your words would you continue to speak? It's these answers I seek The speed to my beat The step of my feet The reasons I weep Why we can't all just see That we need to wake up?

Because the alarm has already gone off And it's time to make this Our Day
