Dorian had enough on his plate already, he felt, and now here he was, being spoken down to by some… some Fereldan. With the way that the other man carried himself, he was perhaps some sort of Fereldan nobility, though Dorian knew this as a country which would gladly grant a noble title to a dog, so it could not mean that much.
He would not be the catalyst to any hostilities, however. Not intentionally, not beyond simply being himself, a Tevinter mage. Anyone who wished to fight with him because of that was more than welcome to, he would not back down from a battle either of might or tongue.
❝ There are so many people milling about, one can never be too sure. ❞ It was as good an excuse, an explanation, as any. It was true, insofar as the number of people standing around. Perhaps it held less truth when it came to being the true reason Dorian had asked such a question.
❝ Ah, of course, a Howe. ❞ The name meant nothing to him. ❝ I myself am a Pavus, though I cannot imagine you would be familiar enough with the Imperium to know any significance to my family name. I would implore you to refer to me as Pavus at the minimum, Dorian if you are feeling kind. Calling me ‘Tevinter’ feels rather dehumanizing. Wouldn’t you agree, Fereldan? ❞
