What is Will's relationship to all of the Gleefuls?
Alright! I'mma try and answer this with my limited knowledge and full on headcanons which i probably will expand upon later!!!!!! Also for more complex relationships i may yap a lot.
First of all,,,, Ford. At least in my idea of reverse falls, Will wanted Ford to build a portal too. But this time, not to start weirdmagedon - but to just go hang around mortal life because he thinks it's neat.
Will TRIED to trick Ford into building the portal for his own oh-so "twisted desires"!... But he ended up just spilling the tea because back then he couldn't keep a lie... Not when Ford was being so nice and attentive. Ford forgave him, and they worked on the portal - progress was becoming slower, and Will didn't question it until Ford appeared with the damn amulet.
Yep, of course, Ford took advantage of Will's trust, manipulated him to be able to hold his power. The dynamic turned into Scientist and Specimen in a snap of fingers - and it stayed like that for a while, Ford even managed to get the portal to a more stable state (not for Will's sake this time), until they had a fight. They threw hands, slaps and kicks - a bit of burning too because magic and shi, with the portal turning on and all. By the end, Will managed to run away - and he was free for 30 years until later events with the twins happened.
During those 30 years, Ford advanced a lot on his projects - sadly he couldn't locate Will after the fight, so he eventually stopped carrying the amulet everywhere and placed it in a neat space. As for feelings, Ford was MAD. Like, a total hater, he took down his 'altars' and all- he was pissed with the triangle.
And now, after (insert events with the twins and all)... Things have calmed down, but Ford is still rough with Will. Manhandling, abuse, a bit of torture in the name of science - you know the deal. And now that Will became unstable... Ford didn't even notice, and that insulted Will even more. I like to think that Ford is very trusting of his abilities - and this includes his manipulation, so he can't fathom the idea of Will snapping.
NOW THAT THE BIG PART IS OUT OF THE WAY...
First up, Mabel! She hated his meek, submissive personality - this didn't stop her from taking advantage of her power over him tho, she definitely did - but she sure used to get so damn angry whenever she would hit and kick Will - and Will wouldn't do anything. That kinda made her want to do it even more in a "DO SOMETHING!!!" kind of way.
Now that Will has become unstable - both twins noticed and FAST. Mabel has become even more curious and pays a lot more attention to Will - she likes to see how his eye twitches, the side eyes he does when he thinks no one is looking, the little screams of frustration he does when he thinks he's alone in a room. She is fully confident Will won't hurt her tho - she knows Will has a soft spot for the twins, even after everything they do to him.
And, Mason... Back then, he only dismissed Will Cipher - bitterly at worst, nonchalantly at best. He just didn't like the guy, Will acted like a soulless, crying puppet and that's what Mason treated him as, he won't give his precious time to a pawn that's not even amusing to play with.
And now that Will has become unstable, Mason enjoys his presence better. Both twins are very good at perceiving mood changes, even the smallest ones, and well Mason is the smartest of course he noticed (and first). He now tolerates Will a lot more, and may listen to the guy vent about work - he thinks it's kinda funny how pathetic Will is, now that Will shows feelings other than sadness about it... And well, for some reason Will trust's Mason about that - Mason and Ford aren't close like that (only in smart-guy stuff), so no worries about the big man knowing. (However Will knows he's better off not complaining about people - other Gleefuls - in front of Mason).
As for Stan? I think they barely interact, other than when Stan is with the kids. I got this idea out of a fic i read once, where Stan ran a casino in Reverse falls - so he's not close to the family, but he visits. The twins enjoy the attention they get from Stan in these visits (even if Stan doesn't TRULY mean it), and Stan is pretty thankful Will looks after the twins since he knows Ford spends days on end in his lab and doesn't care enough to check that the twin's needs are met and nice. Will doesn't like that Stan gives the twins fake affection, even if it's rooted on the duty of keeping the kids alive - but he sees that the twins enjoy the little attention they get, so he won't interfere.
