Can you imagine an AU where Nana Shimura switches places with All Mights. Izuku learning that one of the pervious holders of OFA was also quirkless to boost his sense of worthiness. As well as the other changes in canon.
I would absolutely loveeeeee that because we see how all might holds nana near and dear to his heart, how he values her image as a hero in canon, so for nana to have that same attitude towards her (would-be) predecessor, WHILE TELLING HER NOW ALSO QUIRKLESS SUCCESSOR ABOUT HIM??????? the tears that I would sheeeeeed.
and you know, that’s kind of why I was a little sad that toshi’s quirklessness wasn’t used more prominently in the plot. LIKE imagine (and now my fic writing brain is getting more ideas ebjbfjefdn) IMAGINE them having a Vulnerable Conversation about how hard it is/was to have a heroic heart but no quirk, then how much of a blessing it is to be given a quirk, to finally have a tool that will help you achieve the goal(s) that’s most important to them, but then that fact it also is a curse because it can be seen as a sign of invalidation to their very existence as a quirkless people (since it comes across that they’re only able to do the things they want once they get one for all). likeeeee this is the tasty shit I need from canon (OR, in this hypothetical world you set up where Nana is izuku’s predecessor, THEN ALL MIGHT COULD STILL TALK TO IZUKU IN THE VESTIGE ZONE PLACE and they could maybe share their grievances that way) BUT YOU KNOW, canon is as canon does hbwdjwbjdbw
