I know we joke about tumblr staff constantly fucking up this site but this time I fear it has gone too far. the reblog system on this site makes it one of the only unique social media sites left
which is a HUGE reason why many of us (if not all) continue to use this site, despite the bad changes that have been made in the past
the classic reblog system allows for a unique kind of communication and community that is non existent elsewhere
@staff, you are grossly overestimating yourselves if you think that people will stay here after you make this change. if we wanted this setup, we'd just use twitter/bluesky/threads. and that's what people are gonna do. the rest of us who DONT want this setup? what are we staying for? what is there left and where is there left for us to go?
PLEASE listen to us and STOP THIS CHANGE
