When he first arrived at Milgram, talking to the other prisoners was his favorite thing to do, despite how anxious he got with some of them. But things had been... Tense, lately, ever since Kotoko attacked the guilty prisoners, and combined with the bad feeling Haruka had about how that last interrogation went... Well, he didn't feel much like talking anymore. He kept to himself, locked away in his cell and only leaving when he absolutely had to - he wouldn't even leave for food most of the time. Muu was nice enough to bring him meals, so he wasn't starving... But he still found himself hungry, late at night.

He knew it was discouraged for the prisoners to wander around at night, but from his point of view, it felt a lot... Safer. He didn't want to run into anybody, and everyone else should be asleep in their cells, so it should be fine, right...?

That sense of safety didn't last long, though. Creeping towards the kitchen in the dark, he could swear he heard a second set of footsteps from somewhere behind him - he nearly jumped out of his skin when he turned around to look and realized it hadn't just been his imagination.

"Eep-! Kaya-Kayano-san!" He lets out an embarrassing yelp, stumbling backwards and nearly tripping over his untied shoelaces. Mikoto in particular had been making him nervous lately, with all the rumors he'd heard from the others about the strange noises that came from his room late at night, not to mention the fact he was able to fend off Kotoko on his own... To say the least, running into him like this nearly gave the boy a heart attack. "Sorry! S-sorry, I didn't mean to - a-am I in your way?"
