A few revisions on the first-nose, hand with knife, garments- and a resize on the second so both fit standard frames, as I've been asked to make prints. I NEED YOUR INPUT tonight (10/31) and tomorrow before noon est; are there any issues that stand out to you in either? If you check out the previous versions, you'll see two different colors for the first (warm and cooler). Which do you prefer?

Neil Gaiman is coming to town for a talk Monday (11/6), so I'd like to get a couple of copies to him of the portrait study (with the Apple). Even though we've shared many of the same friends over the decades, I've never met him (don't know if I ever will). However, you never know; someone he knows might need an illustration in Da Vinci's style. Worth a shot, anyway!

PS- the reason I need extra eyes to check this? Only one of mine works, and only small areas of it, so I can't see the whole thing at once clearly. Also, I hate working directly from photo reference, so the face came from "Casanova". Age was added and the lighting changed. I do so love to torture myself, obviously!

So, in order to build a "portfolio" on here, I've decided to take advantage of #tbt and begin posting some of my older pieces. And to start us off, here's "The Dream." It's a bit of a double throwback, as the first one was done about 2003, and the second was done ten years later in 2013. The first is also one of the few remaining images I have from my first sketchbook, which mysteriously vanished a year after I drew this. #throwbackthursday #penandink #dreams #revisedart
