To any readers of The Starfall Gambit, sorry to say, but I’ve hit a bout of indecision and perfectionism during the story’s messy middle. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to post this upcoming Sunday😢. The characters have changed so much and we’ve gotten so far from my outlines because much as I wanna be a planner, pantsing is such a part of my process. Ngl. I’ve redrafted the upcoming chapter north of a dozen times that it’s gotten to be a bit of a mess😖📝.
Not to worry! My plan is to create a proper first draft up to my intended Act 2 ending(~4-6 chapters). Well, more like second draft because I wrote the first draft ages ago but made so many choices that made it essentially an AU at this point. Anyway, I’ll work with my beta on line edits and direction for my official draft. Unfortunately, I can’t promise a deadline, but until then, I’ll post alternative scenes from my draft graveyard because gods know I have an endless stream of those.
