If the prince were a form of weather, he’d be a supercell. Not your run of the mill thunderstorm — something much more uncommon and violent. It represents Fíli’s temper. Only when conditions are just right, will his anger be provoked, but when unleashed, his wrath is terrible and merciless. It is unpredictable, much like the supercell in its path. And just as soon as it appeared, it can fizzle out, leaving blue skies (or blue eyes, as the case may be.)

Both Revka and Nathaniel have very strong opinions about certain subjects and because of this they can get into rather loud disagreements over things they have differing viewpoints on. (Only back home, of course, as Nathaniel rarely vocally disagrees with his commanding officer in front of other Wardens). Despite the fact that they never see one hundred percent eye-to-eye, Nathaniel comes to trust Revka enough to follow her headlong into situations where he would have preferred to be more cautious. While he personally can be quite critical of some of her decisions he does not stand for other people trying to “dress her down” in public, regardless of how he personally may feel about what she’s done.
His eyes found her in the midst of the gathering crowd so easily, it was as if some force drew his gaze towards her. When their eyes met, his hands shook at his side and there were tears gathering at the brims of him eyes. So much time had passed, so many things had happened between then and now. Would things be different? Would they slip back into their norm or would it be an uncomfortable stumble through words and awkward glances?
Miles drew in a deep breath, exhaling a soft and shaky breathe as he closed in the distance between them. Each step felt heavy and as he forced himself through the crowd, there was an unknown sort of exhaustion that seemed to tug at his very core. The Warden stopped short in front of her, unsure as to what he should say and kept quiet as he stared into the eyes of the woman he had loved and missed with all of his power.
The words slipped off of her tongue in a whisper but her words were so strong, just as they had always been. His hand reluctantly reached up towards her face, cupping her cheek gently as he brushed his thumb carefully against her warm skin. Miles' heart pounded deep inside of his chest and the magnetic pull between them only seemed to grow as the distance shortened. Worrisome thoughts clouded his mind as he closed his eyes, no longer attempting to hide the water that grew inside of them as he leaned down towards her, pressing his lips softly against her own. All of the uncertainty and fear that had bound him up inside seemed to fall like opened shackles around him and it was like he was home once more.
Liree grinned as she pulled her fingers around the elf’s hips and felt only a slight resistance from the shorter woman. A breathy laugh on the mage’s lips as she made sure to direct the heat of her breath against the elvhen’s longer ear.
"What are you doing?" Revka’s demanded, low and gruff with the usual amount of unamused threat that she often gave to all those around her…but physically she could feel the flush of her skin even through her leathers and so Liree’s smile simply widened all the more as her fingers moved up slightly from her hips to the point where the downward curve of her body came to a slight pinch. A perfect resting point that allowed her to spread her fingers across Revka’s back where she had gently begun to knead her hands and was rewarded with a slight hitch in the elvhen’s breath.
"Having a good time," Liree finally replied, her voice a silken purr against her skin, though she had not yet touched her with more than her hands, "aren’t you?" She moved the final step closer, her head dipping down gently to brush umbra lips against her ear as gentle as a breeze. One hand fled from her hip to gently move her braid and expose more flesh that was hidden underneath, and it seemed just the change in air caused her obstinate friend to gasp.
Liree picked up her earlier ministrations, her lips taken to tracing the upper ridge of her elongated ear before moving to the damaged one. She could feel the scarring beneath her lips as she allowed herself to explore the jagged edges, even taking it a step further and letting her tongue gently drag along the uneven edge before letting it lead her to the lobe. She could feel Revka getting warmer, her skin almost burning and her lips had parted to let her pant secret quiet breaths into the night air.
"If you truly wish me to stop, tell me, and I will." She whispered, her hot breath playing against the trail her tongue had left, and she laughed huskily as she felt Revka’s breath shudder against her. Still, with no verbal command to cease she took the initiative. Using a gentle pressure she pressed Revka against the tree behind them, and once more begin her slow trail down the ridge of her ear as she felt them hit the stalwart rigidity of the tree. Liree allowed a hand to grip onto the bark as the other kept it’s chosen appointment at her waist and her lips had slipped from the ridge to the lobe, hungrily pulling in the flesh and grazing it with teeth before leaving it behind entirely.
She could feel Revka’s breath hitch against her as the mage placed a kiss where the jawline connected to her gracefully long neck, and she followed that line downward, leaving a trail of kisses down her flesh that caused more audible gasps to leave her victim’s mouth. She tasted of salt and earth, and Liree found herself groaning at the flavour and she hungrily left wet kisses in desperation for more of that intoxicating delicacy. Up so close she could truly smell her, the combination of sweat, the metallic edge of polish, leather, and beneath it was something deeper, sweeter, and that drove her onward as the finger at her waist began to slowly wander over her back in an attempt to drag the woman somehow closer.
"S-stop." Came the strained voice of her ‘friend’. She had heard her audibly beginning to pant just before, almost squirming beneath her, and it took Liree a long moment to bite back the disappointment as she began to separate herself from the elvhen, only to find the woman’s own hand keeping her from going far and a strange glint in her amber eyes Liree had never seen before. "Why don’t we find somewhere a bit more comfortable, hmm?" Revka said, and Liree felt her heart flutter as she saw her mussed hair and the flush on her cheeks, even more when Revka licked her lips in a way that was not intended to be so distracting. "I’d rather not spend all night against a tree."
"As you wish, bae." She managed to reply, though her previous flirtations were strangely absent and only a dumbstruck awe remained. And with no small amount of jubilation Liree felt the usually ornery elvhen slip her hand into hers and gently lead her back to the fires of camp.
