jonnie grew up in new york city, he was born to a mother who was better off as a single mom considering his father was an abusive shitbag.
besides the obvious Daddy Issues, his mother was as good of a mother as she could've been for him. she worked multiple jobs to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table.
however, because of that, she wasn't home much and jonnie wanted to spend as little time as he could with his father. this meant he spent a lot of free time at his neighborhood's community center where he hung out with kids older than him that introduced him to The Cool Kid™️ music. this is where his passion for music really took off.
at age 10 he began to fuck around on the center's rickety old drum kit and would perform for anyone who would listen. of course he wasn't good, but that never stopped him. music and learning it was an escape and freedom he'd never felt before and that was something he realized he didn't want to give up.
as he aged, he spent less and less time at home. enough to the point he was even estranged from his mother whom he loved more than anyone else.
personally, he never found anything wrong with it, he wanted freedom from a place he wasn't safe in, so by the time he was 16, he was completely moved out of his parents' place and couch surfing through his friends for the remaining years of high school.
school wasn't necessarily his strong suit, he wasn't Bad per say, but he just had a huge lack of focus because as a teenager struggling to stay afloat without any support, there was a lot more on his mind than doing the best he could. which basically means he didn't apply himself nearly as much as he probably should have.
despite the lack of any sort of structure or support in his life, he still managed to somehow weasel his way into university .. but only for a year or so before he dropped out, realizing pursuing something that wasn't music never felt right to him.
after dropping out he worked at a shitty deli getting yelled at by white soccer moms for not putting enough arugula on their sandwich.
every other second, he was working on music whether alone or with the band.
he hasn't spoken to his parents since he moved out, his mother has tried to reach out to him on multiple occasions, but his excuse is he's busy when in reality he's not Ready to face that shit.

THE CORNER STONE OF MONARCHS
compared to the others in monarchs elise has a gentler personality. they consider themselves to be the anchor of the band. the level head, the voice of reason when everything seems to go to shit. it seems elise is just seen as the girl on the side with the keyboards more than anything. though despite that she never complains and plays their part well. the keys depending on how they're implemented can either clash with the music or create something harmonious .
elise would consider themselves to be one of those more sensitive players. she doesn't just bang keys and notes to see whatever works, instead she plays it by feeling. getting a feel for the song and trying to work with it rather than against it .although to the fans elise may seem as unimportant her keys are another part of what brings monarchs their unique sound. the way it brings out another color and life to the song to contrast against roxie's vocals. while most of the time they are seen on the far side of the stage with their keyboard elise has much more talent to offer.
besides being the band's primary keyboardist elise can also play guitar, write lyrics, and even contribute backing vocals. in this way she's seen as the hidden gem of the band. and while she is more than content with her role in monarchs there is a part of them that often years for more. though there's this fear, not many people make it after splitting from their band. plus she's not as charismatic or charming as roxie. in their eyes it would never work. with all their drama and scandal the music makes it worth it. with their fourth album in the works elise wonders how much time until everything bursts again.

father left when he was pretty young, raised entirely by his mother. he’s quite close to her and his older sister. all in all he had a decent childhood filled with happiness and love despite his father’s absence.
discovered his love for music at a pretty early age, he was always just a musical kid. as he grew into his teens, he got into producing and composing his own songs. he dreamed of one day becoming a singer or a hit producer.
alas though ! dreams don’t always come true. greyson’s certainly didn’t. thus he’s ended up working as a measly front desk worker at revolution records, while he dreams of becoming more.
makes a habit of sneaking into the recording rooms to use company equipment. he often sends songs to his mom, having told her when she moved away from new york that he was a recording artist.
basically, he didn’t achieve his dreams, his family all grew and moved on from the city, and he’s lying to them about being successful. all while working at the place he dreams of, just in a different sense.
in terms of personality, he's obviously very persistent. he doesn't give up easily and is headstrong in that way. he's not easily embarrassed at all. i don’t have a lot figured out so . . . tl;dr ! parker’s parents are rich. dad is a bigshot ceo, mom was a singer, so everything was handed to him on a silver platter. they wanted everything for their kids, which meant, setting them up for success. for parker, it was music. due to connections, his parents tried to mold him into the next child star — endless sing and dance lessons, coming up with an image, all to put him in a group with 6 pre-teens and formed a backstreet boys esque boy band that aimed to steal the hearts of young girls.
sadly, that only lasted for about a year. the music was good, but behind the scenes, the band was in shambles. no one really wanted to be there, since, they were all put in the same predicament: appeasing to their parents’ wants and needs. being together felt forced. so, after the fall of this boy band ( i don’t have a name for this group yet LMAO ) everything came to an end. parker wanted to live a regular life, despite his parents’ wishes, and went to a public high school to find himself.
he was always considered an outsider in his family, or the black sheep. the ‘rich lifestyle’ was never his thing. he never really saw himself as a dela cruz, but just parker. him and his parents constantly clashed, up until a point where he had enough. words were said, things were done, to the point where parker decided it was best for him to cut family ties and leave. so when he was 17 he moved out, picked up late-night shifts at the gas station, and waited to finish high school.
four years later, he gets his bachelor’s degree in architecture at a university. he always had a passion for creating things. but after working as a project assistant for a few months, he decided that it wasn’t his passion. looking for a sign, he later stumbled across revolution records. at first, he felt unsure of the new beginning, but after being there for four years as their graphic artist mainly designing album covers, he was glad he made that leap of faith.

delaney lu – where to begin? the second child of the incomparable mei lu, star of the stage and screen. okay, star of one soap opera that lasted five years in the late '80s - early '90s. in reality, a good actress who decided she hated los angeles and moved back home to san francisco when the show imploded and abruptly ended. soap opera tapings were replaced with leading roles in eccentric local productions and one-of-a-kind one woman shows in historic bay area theatres.
perhaps even more than she committed herself to the stage, mei committed herself to motherhood. she supplied her children with her own surname rather than their fathers' and made it crystal clear that half-siblings were siblings just the same as any other. there was never a doubt in anyone’s mind. their three fathers were never in the picture, but it left mei to run the most camp, free-spirited, and ridiculous household a kid could ask for.
each of the siblings had their own specialty interests (obsessions) and expertise, and delaney's was clear from day one : everything music and making a whole lot of noise. delaney's homemade drumkits went a lot further than pots and pans, but the dream was an actual drum set. it's no wonder they hardly cared about anything else after they got their first real kit. from that day on, they were a neighbor's worst nightmare. and proud of it.

college was never going to be an option for laney, who insisted their hatred of school was fueled by their disdain for the man rather than their frustration with their learning disabilities. besides, who needs higher education when they've already found their calling? fate brought them to the other members of kalopsia and laney never thought about missing out on college again. since then, they've been living their first and only dream - living for the music. there's a laundry list of things they miss about home, but if the truth is simple:

☆ growing up , he'd played folk music with his family in maine . he'd learned how to sing and play guitar at an early age , probably around 9 . in georgia , he'd had a small group with some school friends -- but they weren't very good . in tennessee , however , is where he'd first picked up the fiddle in another small band .
☆ although it wasn't until texas that oliver actually started to get good at any of these. during his time there, he'd also expanded past music. oliver was on the football team, having played briefly the year before in georgia, although this time, as the quarterback.
☆ college football scouts were always coming to games and his coaches would insist they were only for him . scholarships and college opportunities poured his way in his senior year , but that wasn't his passion . his little country folk band that played on weekends in his garage or at small local venues with crowds of tens of people just trying to enjoy their meal or their beer was his real passion . besides , school was never really the easiest for him , music was . he figured he'd be unhappy at tradtional college and especially having to play football all four years .
☆ so , he followed his gut and ignored the scholarships . he attended community college for two years and received certification and an associates degree in music. his band began to gain traction during this time , and somehow scored a record deal at revolution records .
