(I’m busily doing classwork today but here’s a couple more of those pan stitches I did)
Oh before I go eat dinner here’s one of the pans I stitched together while I was away from the blog
As they recite this speech once more, even grouped together the same way as they were before-- this time, the curtain rises. This time, it’s their beginning.
~Blog direction stuff~
Okay, so. None of this is going to be relevant for a bit because I still need to read the epilogue chapter and watch the OVAs for Revue, but.
Y’all voted for me to liveblog Symphogear after I finished Revue. I intend to honour that. However, there’s a catch, which I’ll get to in a minute.
Here’s what I know about Symphogear:
Magical girls? Mecha? Music? Some combination of those three?
I’ve had an irrational bad feeling about it for a hot minute, probably just since I heard it was a mecha anime because those generally don’t appeal to me.
I’ve been warned it “gets a little fanservicey in season one”.
I’ve seen one character design and I liked the colour palette, kinda mint and pink pastel. Very cute.
When I mentioned to my gf that was what won the poll, she tried valiantly not to cringe and told me she thought it wasn’t a show I would enjoy. She generally has a very good handle on what I like and what I don’t, and she (having watched a few episodes of it herself and noped out) then discussed it with some of her friends who watched whole seasons and they agreed.
So I’m concerned. However! Y’all voted, and I don’t want to just throw that away. So here’s the deal:
I’m going to watch one episode of Symphogear. If I do not have a good time, I’m going to stop. No shade to people who enjoy it, obviously; for all I know I will end up enjoying it and I’ll keep going! But this liveblog is something I do for fun, I don’t have a Patreon or anything, and I don’t want to let it become a burden. I’m trying to have boundaries, haha.
If I do enjoy Symphogear, I will keep going with it!
If I do not enjoy Symphogear, I will alternate episodes of Owl House (which I’ve wanted to blog for a while) and Princess Tutu (which came in second on the poll).
I’m gonna post this and then dip off the internet for a bit, because I have a lot of classwork to do and also because I don’t want to let myself get even accidentally pushed around by well-meaning people who aren’t trying to push me around. It happens, I’m sometimes easy to push and then I regret the hell out of it. Self care!! Byeeeee talk to y’all later
the sun rises and so do my happy tears again
WAIT DOES THAT MEAN JUNNA UNDERSTANDS FRENCH
MY GIRL
(bonus Nana being adorable)
YES YES YES BECAUSE THE STAR IS EACH OTHER
please know I pretty much haven’t stopped crying but also you have no IDEA how big I grinned when their hands turned toward each other
