Hamish Macbeth

SPOILERY Rambling nonsense after the cut.

Methinks now would be a great time to do a new one. Bobby's more popular now than ever and I'd love to see what Hamish and the crew are up to. I've never read the books (though I think I may start) so here's my headcanon for everyone.

1) T.V. John sent some messages to Hamish in the finale via his father's ghost. One of those is that Hamish and Isobel had conceived a baby in the snow cave. So the child would now be about 15/16. A boy, named John, the spitting image of his father.

2) Lachie Jr. married Auntie Jeanne and they now have three girls.

3) Isobel and Hamish never bothered to get married. No one in Lochdubh minded.

4) Rory and Esme DID get married and he built her a new schoolhouse with the proceeds of a particularly profitable honeymoon in Monaco.

5) John Macbeth is desperately in love with a Spanish girl who recently moved with her family to Lochdubh, Marina Castillo. Her father, an overbearing man and staunch Catholic does not approve but Hamish has a word with him and he relents to allow them to date (and she teaches John Spanish and how to make paella)

6) Jock the dog sadly passed away two years ago. Hamish and Isobel decide to get another Westie and name him Jock the Third.

7) Barney and Agnes still own the Stag Bar. They still love each other. Barney is still a bit of a rascal.

8) Doc Brown is now a successful published author, having written a book all about the many medical wonders of cannabis.

9) Isobel is now Editor in Chief of the local paper. Hamish tells her he loves her every day.

10) Lochdubh is still much the same. As it should be, as it always shall.
