this blog features things that have been accidentally melted, up to and including: hockey, ficlets, musicals and other random assorted fandoms. sorry not sorry. ps. it's all kris' fault.
last thing y'all wrote for the sid/g kid fic (which I will make sure you finish one of these years...) and/or your fave scene from this fic (so far or to be written...)
Last thing I wrote for Sid/G kidfic:
“Papa!”
Geno smiled at Anna’s excited face and waving arms. “Anyushka!” He looked over at the young man wearing the bright yellow camp shirt who held the car door open for her with one hand and her gear in the other. “Say thank you.”
“Thank you!” she repeated obediently as she scrambled into the car. The young man smiled at her as he heaved the gear bag into the back.
“You’re welcome! See you tomorrow,” he said, closing the door and waving at them. Geno nodded at him and looked back over his shoulder to check that Anna was wearing her seatbelt before pulling out of the pickup line.
“Did you have a good day?” he asked, glancing in the rearview mirror.
“Yes! Coach Austin is so cool, and he said my skating was really good. And Miss Kaitlin showed us how to use the weight machines and Mr. Dave taught us how to stretch, and Max was goofing around in the weight room and he knocked over all the weights and one fell and almost hit him on the head!”
Geno smiled as he merged onto 79-N, despite the fact that rush hour traffic was starting to pick up. “Max needs to be more careful,” he said.
“Yes. And then Trevor called Lisa a bad name but Coach Sid made him say sorry.” Geno glanced up sharply at that, looking at Anna in the mirror.
“And then what?” he asked, because something about the way Anna was telling that story made him think that she was leaving something out. Sure enough, she widened her eyes at him and kicked her feet, meaning she was guilty.
“And Coach Sid made me apologize for knocking Trevor down,” she muttered, and Geno frowned at her for a second before switching his attention back to the traffic.
“Anna Evgenyevna Malkina, we have talked about this,” he said, stern. “Knocking people down is not the answer.”
“But he called Lisa a bad name! And he wouldn’t apologize when I told him to!” Anna crossed her arms over her chest. “He deserved it.”
“I am glad that you defended your friend,” Geno said, treading carefully, because he was glad that she was standing up for Lisa. “But knocking someone down is not the answer, no matter how much you think they deserved it.” Anna looked mutinous in the back seat but didn’t argue the matter further, and the car was quiet for a good five minutes.
“What was your favorite part of camp?” Geno eventually asked, breaking the silence, and Anna brightened up again, chattering away about camp for the rest of the car ride home.
Top five Tina's ridiculous roadshow moments! ;)

You get "Lullaby of Broadway," from the 42nd Street soundtrack. It's unfair, asking me to pick my favorite lyrics from this song, because I love it all (and you should know, you were there with me the first time we saw it), but I'm going to go with:
Good night, baby,Good night, milkman's on his way.Sleep tight, baby,Sleep tight, let's call it a day,Listen to the lullaby of old Broadway
mango and plum
mango You have to actually give me a question, dude
plum - a song that reminds me of you / your blog
this and also this
and my back-up: Duende (Ovie/Everyone)
Duende - Unusual power to attract or charm.
Alex has always been careful to use his powers for good and not evil. The Three Times rule is no joke, after all, and after the first time he'd sent bad luck to the opposing team and had a game where all of his shots rang off the pipe, not to mention his nose getting broken again, he'd gotten the message loud and clear.
He does little things, only - making sure the baristas at his local coffee shop don't get any rude customers for a shift, leaving a charm on the table so that his tired-looking waitress gets extra big tips for a while, making sure that none of Masha's clothes get shrunk or stained in the wash. He can't help it that a natural side effect of his powers means that people are drawn to him.
It's why he's a bit puzzled when Sidney Crosby remains frustratingly immune to his charms. Alex likes Crosby, a little against his own will - he's serious about hockey to the point of earnestness, and hypercompetitive in a way that speaks to Alex's own nature, and doesn't like Alex, He's willing to admit that it might just be the novelty that draws him to Crosby at first, but later it's Zhenya waxing rhapsodic. Alex is mostly bemused, but he likes Zhenya and he wants Zhenya to have nice things, so he may or may not have exerted himself a little in that respect.
He's regretting it now, having walked in on Zhenya and Crosby making out enthusiastically in one of the back hallways of Consol. He thinks he might be scarred for life.
