Hmm... I really don't like doing vector art, and I'm not the greatest at it, but I've gotten really good grades for my vector assignments, so I guess that's cool lol. Here's something I made for that class:

I have a lot of fun doing timed figure drawing! Generally I'm good at anatomical illustration (musculature & skeletons), at least to the level needed for my major lol, and (I think) I'm pretty good at applying that to my live drawings. Here's some old stuff from class:

I used to be told by my art teachers in grade school, maybe 3-4 yrs ago, that my art was too 'anime' inspired to do well for art college applications— which is strange because I never really watched any anime at all until fairly recently. Maybe those teachers didn't know what they were talking about, because I got into the art unis I wanted anyway!!! :D

more oil painting stuff for class: 1) 2-week mastercopy of Victor Vignon's Summer Landscape with Haystacks (mid-1880s) [x]. General study of broken color. 2) 2 hour photo study of my lunch (mini painting on bristol paper again)

#rex uni things #reblogs are off bc its school stuff but posting to show that im still alive lol #the 'lunch' was like. deconstructed blt. i didn't get time to add the darks before the deadline so its. a very rushed painting #honestly.. im enjoying oils. its such a difficult style of painting to do since ive never done it before but my prof makes it fun #so its just experimenting hehe
