Rexaura

I had a huge gap in playing Rexaura (almost 4 years), so my memory is more than a bit hazy. I don't really recall how I felt about Rexaura, but I clearly did not dislike it, as I didn't bother to uninstall the game. The puzzles in my final session were challenging but fair, and the ending was suitably horrifying.

I’m kinda sad that I don’t see much/any fandom stuff for the other mods. I suppose the others are older but... for this post, I’ll be talking about Rexaura, tragic and fun as it was.)

In my head, the female core ISN’T GLaDOS (I don’t think it was meant to be? Different accent and all...), but is a testing core that continues to work through the facility being pretty much shut down. She has access to only ONE test subject and for some reason has been paired with the Encouragement core (Or the nickname she gives him... Wikipedia, which is much more fun...), who she absolutely despises. I love how she just pops in after he disconnects to tell the player (who is female again) that the core is getting on her nerves.

But man, he’s just trying to do his job???

(I love it when he deactivates her sarcasm processing unit. omg.)

Eventually, she can’t take it any more and that poor  test subject either gets knocked off or has her memory erased and the testing core erases HER OWN memory.

Will Glados ever find them? Er... maybe they wouldn’t really want that?

Who knows. I just want more portal characters tbh, I am desperate af.

I’ll probably talk about other mods in the future and probably commission someone to draw my fav characters. :’) We’ll see!
