After the fifth "Look mommy! A pony lady!" Spoons was just about done for the day. Especially because one of those people sounded suspiciously not like a child.
Worried about overheating and needing a break for her own sanity (such as it was), Spoons tucked herself into a thin alleyway. It wasn't easy, but she managed to lay down. Oh hey, maybe she can fix her leg easier this way! Funny how she hadn't thought of that before.
As she busied herself, she didn't notice the way the air started shimmering nor had she anything to alert her to pressure changes. And so she went happily about her business as the city around her melted away and a new universe formed around her.
