Interview with REXsposure
What is GC? "Cultural Lifestyle Blog and Brand." "We’re coming out of Orlando, FL. We’re just an embryo and we’re all growing together." How did GC come about? "Well I’m a chef. I'm a full time chef and definitely a foodie at heart. and also I'm very into street wear. And I wouldn’t call myself a Hypebeast but a 'Hypechef' if you will. Like I love the taste. And from my palate to my clothing. Its part of the culture and lifestyle to kinda spotlight things that we think is dope from food, restaurants, to events such as this, to community barbecues that we throw for our demographic." How long has GC been running now? "Like a year." How can people get ahold of your products and see your videos on YouTube? "Mainly if you go to TheGoodCooks.com that has everything. That's our weekly blog post and updates, and its also where our volumes of episodes and cover stories that we’ve done on locations, new menu tasting items, on car shows, anything. YouTube.com/GoodCooks and @GoodCooksFL on Instagram" Also, I know you had a part in bringing the Black Mxrkt Tradeshow into fruition, can you tell us about how the idea for The Black Mxrkt Tradeshow came about? "Okay so me and Ed, Ed from Mxrkt, were at the NXLabel Barbecue, and we saw so many heads that were fresh. People were def like on the latest street wear trends and a lot of people were doing their own thing. So we figured, “How come no one has a following here?” Even people that have online sales, like internet buzz, they have no local following ya know? An example: Biggest and Baddest. They do have a local following but its not where it should be. We have a coast, no disrespect to the Fresh Coast, that is monopolizing on street wear. Through every fucking mall, every state, every region of the nation. So why can’t we have our own? And like at least come together. So I think its like synergy, or you know we’re all like here working together. This is also just an embryo and its only going to get bigger and better. And we’re traveling to Tampa, Gainesville, Jacksonville. This is just a seed , we’re planting trees." So be on the look out for more Black Mxrkt events. "For sure. Like 100%. We’ve been thinking about planning the second one before this one even came."
