5. favourite song in your native language?
This one is very hard, there are so many styles and places to choose from! I can’t.
If you say folk music from my country, I’d say anything by Santiago Chalar specially Cuando Empieza a Amanecer (a poetic description of dawn), Del Templao (Original of Ruben Lena, about a man riding in the night), and Pida Patrón (a horse pleads his case, asking not to be sold for meat). Here is a translation I made of El Perro (The Dog).
16. which stereotype about your country you hate the most and which one you somewhat agree with?
Hate: South America = tropical. We get four seasons in Uruguay, we get frost in Winter.
Agree: Uruguayans are grey, sad, little minded people. Unfortunately true to a great extent.
23. which alcoholic beverage is the favoured one in your country?
I think it is a tie between wine (mostly red, tannat) and beer. I think beer is more of a “young people” and “foreign media influence” thing though.
