The couple days following the earthquake had been peaceful yet again. The relief efforts to help after the disaster were many and as she went out to the city to see what she could do to calm the city in her own way were for naught as after two days, she began to feel as if something were wrong yet again. Many people began acting strangely, as if in some sort of trance and though as hard as she tried to wake them, it was to no avail that they stayed under whatever spell had been cast.
All that's remembered is her vision suddenly going black and then waking up in a damp and dark space. The walls were made of some type of stone, small engravings done on each side. The ground? That was made of dirt and the longer she stayed in one spot, it became harder to breathe. Without much of a choice, she moves forward, hands pressed against one side of the wall to help her in moving. There's no clear direction, no sense of where she's even going, but it wouldn't be wise to stay in one place, she supposes.
After awhile, she gathers her bearings and is able to walk on her own. But still, she has no idea where this may even be. It's still very damp but up ahead there's something interesting and after a few more minutes of walking, she comes to an intersection of paths. Decisions like this have never been her forte, instincts aren't to be trusted in a place like this, she's well aware. To her left, darkness. Her right? Even more so. In front of her is the same and to the back of her was where she had began. Eyes are closed as she tries to think of what to do, but suddenly there's something odd that she hears in the distance.
The sound of slow footsteps making their way to the same intersection she stood in could now be heard. Turning to her left, she waits for whoever or whatever it is that plans to meet her here. It's much to her surprise that it's a familiar face, someone that she's considered herself to be on good terms with, though they aren't very close in the slightest.
❝ Mahmut? ❞ she says, clearly surprised to see him here. It's a little odd but hopeful that she wouldn't have to go through this ordeal alone. Without thinking much, she's quick to move towards him and take his hands into her own. She's just a little bit too excited and hopes that he doesn't mind. ❝ I am glad to see you, even though we are in a bit of a bind as you can see. ❞ hands then once again drop back to her sides as she stares ahead.
❝ We should keep moving forward. I feel as though if we stay here for too long, it will not be good for either of us. ❞
