Finding Out: Jake ♡ Amy

She was worried about the text message since she received it on her lunch break. Her screen lit up and the words gave her a sense of puzzlement. It wasn't "that bad" usually meant it was bad and that was a way of covering it up. Amy clocked out at four o'clock and rode her bike to Jake's place. She was trying to think of possible scenarios on the way. Her mind kept coming up empty. She thought the last piece of drama she'd have to deal with would be Kane breaking up with Jake. Apparently, she was wrong. She parked her bike outside, leaning it against the wall. Fast forward a quick jog up the steps and Amy was knocking on the door.

Element of Surprise {Jake & Kane}

It was weird to be standing at the front door of Jake's apartment above the pet shop. There was a knapsack draped over his shoulder, filled with the clothes he had taken with him to NYU, his diploma slotted in its case, his wallet, and his cellphone which he hadn't bothered to pick up in order to tell anyone about his journey back to Bennington. He'd rather use the element of surprise tactic. And so with a grin, he knocked, took a step back and waited for Jake to answer the door -- not certain of how he'd react.
