Loves, this is a really hard post for me to write but delaying it further sadly wouldn’t make any sense even though that was the plan. As you all know, I’ve completely underestimated uni’s workload and am thus horrendously busy in spite of my schedule not even seeming that overwhelming. Because of that, the college revamp for this group will definitely take considerably longer than it might normally have to. Not closing the group temporarily for it generally wouldn’t have worked I don’t think but since I’m slowly nearing exam season, there is no way I can pull it off sufficiently until mid-February. Since this was my very first attempt at running my own rpg as well, I’d like to thoroughly revamp and improve everything as good as I can due to the experience I have gained running this group and from observing others I’ve been a part of which is exactly why this won’t turn into a task that will be over and done within a week, I’m afraid.
Normally, the plan would have been to keep going until after graduation & possibly the A reveal and then let you all know that we’d have to take a break but due to a variety of other circumstances out of my control, I don’t think it would make a lot of sense to keep dragging this out. As you’ve all undoubtedly noticed, I barely ever manage to come online nowadays and it’s simply embarrassing. I’m kind of ashamed of myself and also feel really bad about doing this although some of you still seem to be active even now but if I saw any other option at this point, I’d opt for that. Instead, I’m hoping that if we close now, I’ll have plenty of time to rebuild and revamp this group and offer you a thoroughly enjoyable and perhaps even better rp experience than I could offer you at this group’s past heights.
Now, the very important part: I’d like to close this group today, on December 1st 2015, effective immediately. If you know you’d like to pick your character back up when we open again, please please please let me know! I’d hate to have to start from scratch because I love all of you lots and of course there won’t be any trouble if you end up changing your mind later. I’d just love to know who’d like to stay asap to make planning easier. So please, if you want to stay a member of this group, message the main. I’d love to stay in touch with you all throughout the revamp so that you can be involved in the process and of course simply so that I’ll know where to reach you when we reopen which is why I’m absolutely willing to give you all my skype, kik, twitter, personal tumblr, facebook etc, what ever your heart desires. Just let me know what you’d prefer in your message and you shall receive.
If we have enough members who’d like to stick around, I’d also like to reopen the group prematurely for previous members only so that we could still do graduation etc then before the group officially opens for everyone and it’s college time.
Also, if you’d like to stick around and your character will be off to college, feel free to let me know which one you’d like them to attend. So far, I’m planning on offering four, two of those will be NYU and UPenn. East coast schools would be preferred simply because I feel the close distance would make it easier but if you’re dying to send your chara off to the west coast, now is the time to let me know and we can surely work something out. As long as your chara stays in the US, it’ll work out somehow.
Alas, if you don’t plan on staying, I loved having you as a member of this group and wish you all the best and am really hoping none of you will hold too big of a grudge. I’ve tried but failed for the time being. This is simply getting too stressful for me rn and that’s not what rping should be about, of course.
I, in general, loved meeting and rping with each and everyone of you and really hope most of us will get to reunite next year. I’ll start working on the revamp asap and hope we’ll manage to reopen equally as soon.
