not thrilled about Pilika wearing a Japanese wedding dress tbh
if you didn't know, Pilika is Ainu - an indigenous people who were colonised by Japan. This has of course included pressuring them into giving up their traditional clothing, and (tw for the paper I linked: sexual assault and abuse) making Ainu women specifically feel the need to marry Japanese men so their children would be less likely to be discriminated against, and in doing so give up their culture.
In the world of Rune Factory, to my knowledge Pilika's people haven't been colonised, so in this specific context it would be fine ig? she's just engaging in her friends' and partner's culture by wearing their clothing?
but considering the real life history it gives me the ick. like... they really couldn't have given her traditional Ainu clothing at the wedding ceremony at least?
EDIT: apparently, her romance route makes this worse!
