The harmonizing notes of all kinds of instruments, ranging from the light and airy flute to the thick and strong violin, could be heard reverberating all around the palace of Duur. It was a typical sound to hear, the familiar songs of welcome and friendship being played in celebration for the nations visitors, the royal family of Tempestade. They were an honored guest, one that the eldest of the Evergreen children had heard of many times as she grew, yet this would be her first time in the presence of them.
So there, the young crown princess sat with her parents, the king and queen, watching over the court as those high in society danced to their hearts content and indulged in the feat prepared for the night. As fun as it all looked, Sojin had to admit she was a little bored, what with her mother and father walking off to speak with the Tempestade king and queen, leaving her to her own accord.. If not for her two brothers being off in their own world in an effort to fend off boredom and her younger sister not needing to attend because they weren’t next in line for the thrown or boys who could marry into other nations and become rulers, she was left to find her won activity.
It was then she decided to explore, standing from her seat as she attempted to walk through the crowds of nobles. Smiling at those she passed and thanking all those who uttered “what a beautiful princess”, “she’ll be a magnificent queen one day”, and all other words she forgot within minutes, she found herself glancing out of one of the large windows and feeling surprised. “It’s this dark already..? I hope Ahreum is asleep now,” She mumbled, thoughts of her youngest sister peaking through.
It was then something caught her attention, a boy. He was alone, an ever obvious frown plastered onto his face as he watched the festivities with a less than happy to be there glint in his eyes. It was obvious from his clothes he was one of the Tempestade princes, but Sojin couldn’t stop herself from giggling at his appearance. Before she could stop herself, her feet were moving and she found herself in front of the boy. “What could possibly be making you frown so much? It’s a party, and parties should make you smile!” She said with a bright smile, taking the seat next to his without question.
