CLAIM YOUR MAGIC || Acknowledging your magic already seems to be the theme of October. 🙏🏾 Today I was blessed to be serenaded to high priestess ✨ @IndiaArie ✨ at #RhaGoddess' Move the Crowd #TruePaidGood Summit. - India, radical truth teller, was magical-- of course. 🙏🏾 But the interesting thing was that the day was filled with amazing women, including India, who shared their missions along with explicitly stated or underlying lack of recognition of their own magic. - To be clear, these were some bad ass queens of every age, ethnicity and calling. - One of the incredible male gurus in the room shared a statistic that made me well up with tears ON THE SPOT. He said that in the average presentation, a woman will spend 30 minutes more than a man EXPLAINING her credentials and trying to PROVE her worth. - In other words, we are trying to EXPLAIN why we DESERVE to be in the rooms we are already in! - I have been guilty of this... often. (Takes a breath.)
