they’re apart from the universe, yes— In AOS Coulson states that there are no telepaths among them (yet) so this totally dismisses the existence of Charles or Jean in the MCU (this’ just one of the many things one can tell why they’re apart)

*yet* pssh fox and sony ain't giving up rights now when they're doing this whole reboot thing to get people to pay money for it come on, they aren't stupid. 

that's essentially what it boils down to, anon. who owns what. but anyway, yes technically they are? if you want to consider everything that was a comic made into a movie part of a cinematic universe, then yes. but if you are talking about whether or not you can expect to see professor x or wolverine or peter parker in an avengers movie, no. they are all owned by different companies, so one company can't just use one of these characters in another movie. i'm assuming these separate companies operate in separate universes, because peter lives in new york but if you remember, new york was torn up by some chitauri in the avengers. however, they make no mention. 

wow, i rambled. sorry. 

tl;dr no, they aren't.

I'm pretty sure my heart burst, like??? I've never thought of it before but it's perfect wow Rhodey with his patience and his daredevil streak and Bucky who needs a grounding influence and someone who can keep up with him yesss. And the visual, oh the visual, so much pretty!!
