"Why would you DO that?! " Rhea screamed at Theo, her eyes flashing violet in anger.

Rhea raised an eyebrow as she crossed her arms over her chest. “In a word? You’re old. You have experience. You were born, like me, not made. And last I checked, Omega wolves are pretty miserable.

Speak of the devil. Damn. Rhea was just thinking about Theo when she smelled his scent in the forest--which was odd since it was the early morning. She quickly shifted back to her human form, got dressed, and approached him, slightly out of breath because of her earlier run. “So...couldn’t sleep?”

The next time she saw the sheriff was also a pretty unfortunate one. She was prowling the site of the first recent death, half-shifted in case the murderer came back, when she heard that damn jeep roll up yards away. The site was too closed in for her to just run off, so she decided to change back to human form. After all, the bodies had been found with claw and bite marks that no ordinary person could make; hopefully Stiles wouldn’t try to pin things on her. And before he could ask any questions, she pulled out her PI badge. “I thought I was the only one who worked this late.”

Rhea had just torn through a small horde of Croatoan-infected, but there was only so much she could do. She hadn’t eaten in two days, since all the food she’d found had expired. And although it was healing fast, she’d broken her wrist in a nasty fall while in human form. Long story short, she was tired. When she heard the noise coming from the other end of the alley, Rhea was just about ready to call it. But she still bared her teeth with a halfhearted hiss.
Rhea was busy investigating a crime scene when a cop tapped her on the shoulder. “Miss Agresta, the FBI are about to take over the area,” he said, ruining her day. She sighed and nodded, then did another quick sweep of things. The corpse would be available at the coroner’s, but was she missing anything...? Aha. Her sharpened vision caught sight of a bit of fur, which she snatched and put into a baggie before anyone else could be the wiser. Then she hung around, wanting to see what the feds were doing with a small-time serial killer case.
@redhoodiskra
for Rhea: "The hand of man has tainted many of these natural wonders, but some impressive pristine areas remain."
She nodded at the guest speaker, smiling. It was always nice to meet someone who appreciated the forest and its wildlife as much as she did.

Rhea blinked. “Alright, so when’s the next pack thing?” she asked. She was getting in, one way or another. She just had to prove that she could play well with others--and she usually could, given a few non-negotiables. “I’ll bring beer. Or cookies. Whatever.”
