Okay, here we go! Some new default pets eyes to go with my Petrichor Default Eye set. 🥰 I hope you like them!

Please keep in mind, the Pets EP is required for these eyes to work in game. Also, because they are default replacements, you can only have one set of default replacements for pets eyes at a time. Please make sure you remove any others prior to using to avoid conflicts.

Felicity Eyes (Aveira Eyes N15) - Maxis Match Edit Add-Ons

Here we go, folks…! A grand total of 76 extra colours of my Aveira Eyes N15 Maxis-Match Defaults in naturals, hazels/duo-tones, and unnaturals. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

These gorgeous eyes were created by @aveirasims, and all credit goes to them! All I did was plop them on a MM sclera and recolour them a bit. Do go download the originals if you love pretty eyes and lovely shaded sclera! &lt;3

These colours are Non-Default Add-Ons; this means they won't replace the 18 Maxis Default Eye swatches (for defaults, please see the page for the original eyes), and will instead appear after those swatches in the colour picker, as above. I've edited the SecondaryDisplayIndex numbers for each swatch to make sure they sort nicely and in order after the default swatches.

If you have other non-default eyes that get mixed up with these, read this helpful tutorial by the wonderful @oydis to learn how to edit the SecondaryDisplayIndex numbers so they sort the way you want them to. <3

I've separated these recolours into six separate package files based on colour groups, so you can download exactly the ones you want. Like some colours but don't like the others? Simply open the package file in Sim4Studio, select the swatch you want to delete, and click the "Remove Swatch" button. Easy!

I've also included a PSD file with separated catch lights for easy recolouring for anyone who wants to have fun with them. (Just be respectful of Aveira's original TOU: link back to her, and don't take sole credit for them!)

Minimalist CC Icon (CC Wrench Replacement Mod)

I made this for personal use, but @deelishsimmer98 asked if I could share it, so here it is! It replaces the blue wrench banner on CC thumbnails in CAS and build mode to a more easy-on-the-eyes white “cc” text icon (or white dot for custom swatches).

Installation Instructions:

Download the .package file at the links above. **Make sure you download the version that works with your patched version of the game, otherwise you’ll get UI graphical errors.**

Place the package file in your Documents>Electronic Arts>The Sims 4>Mods folder (it’s not a script mod so feel free to place it anywhere, even in sub-folders up to five folders deep).

Open the game, check CAS/Build Mode to see if the replacement worked, and you’re golden

To uninstall, simply remove the package file from your mods folder.

CAUTION: You can only have one CC wrench replacement mod in your mods folder at a time, otherwise they’ll conflict and you might get graphical errors. (This mod overrides these instance files: 09BBBF9DC6153DF9, 9AD1293A832706E0, and D518B5D7A3BBD37C. Any other mod that also modifies these files will conflict.)

I know this isn’t the most visible solution (I just personally like how it looks), and probably won’t work well for people with impaired vision, so here are some more resources for you:

I followed @mizoreyukii‘s "How to Create a Custom Wrench Mod” Tutorial, so go ahead and try it yourself if you’d like something different!

Also check out their original wrench replacement mod if you’d like some different icon options.

@amicurl also has a cc wrench mod that is even more subtle/minimalist than mine! Check it out here.

If you’d prefer no cc icon at all, check out @claudiasharon‘s No CC Wrench in CAS mod!

I've been in love with this shirt since @oydis released it and have been craving more patterns for it, so I decided to just go ahead and make a few myself. Consider this an autumn-y gift for you all! ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

Also, as a Canadian it is my national duty to make sure there is a red plaid swatch. 🍁 Modeled by my Self!Sim, of course. 😏

Am I the only person who finds this extremely satisfying, and super useful from a CC-making perspective? 😅

I whipped it up in Photoshop right quick. Is there any interest for me to upload it somewhere for other CC-makers to use to make sure things line up properly? It’s categorized under Face Paint.

It’s nice because the grid lines up pretty well with the eye-opening, the tip of the nose, and the mouth, and is pretty perfectly divided exactly down the middle, so it should be pretty symmetrical.

Rheall’s Screenshot Edit Photoshop Actions

A little freebie for you today. ^^ Here’s the set of Photoshop actions I use to edit my gameplay screenshots. More info under the cut!

In the example images above you can see comparisons between the EA Default, then @ophelia-nygmos​‘ Subtle Paradise reshade preset (which I use for gameplay and screenshots, I can’t live without it anymore!), then we have my “Edit” Photoshop Action over top, and the last example has a Topaz Clean filter added. Also included in my Screenshot edit actions is the really simple one I use to add a border glow effect around my notifications.

Here’s a list of the actions that are included:

1. “Edit + Topaz + Resize” - Applies the edits to change brightness/saturation/etc., resizes the screenshot to have a width of 1000px suitable for sharing online, applies the Topaz Clean filter, and sharpens. (Keep in mind, because the screenshot is resized before the Topaz Clean filter is applied, it’ll be more pronounced than you see above. Take a look at my recent gameplay posts to see what that looks like. You need Topaz Clean for this one to work.)

2. “Edit + Topaz” - Applies the edits above, without changing the size of the screenshot. This is the one I used in the final step in the example images. (Because the screenshot will be larger when the Topaz Clean filter is added, the effect will be more subtle than the previous action. You need Topaz Clean for this one to work.)

3. “Edit” - Only applies the brightness/saturation/sharpness filters, without the Topaz Clean filter, or changing the size of the image. (This is where the bulk of the editing happens as you can see above, and will still look great even if you don’t use Reshade or Topaz Clean.)

4. “Notif BG” - Applies a glow effect to a layer. Designed to be used on Notifications pasted over your screenshots on their own layer.

If you don’t have Topaz Clean or Reshade, the “Edit” action will still give you great results. 😊 Feel free to fiddle around with them to make them work for you!

[Cons: In some very bright situations my PS actions may overexpose and wash out detail in white/bright areas. Feel free to delete or edit some of the action steps to mitigate this if it bothers you.]

I was feeling a little stressed last night, so I sat down and built a little house to relax. ^^ This time I managed to make it not only without CC, but with only base game items! Go me!

So here’s a very simple starter home! The first I’ve managed to make that is CC-Free as well as under §20k, because I honestly can never contain myself. X)

Surely Sufficient Starter - §18,415 - 2 Bed, 1.5 Bath

This house has good bones, but it needs a caring touch to truly shine. It's an affordable home lacking in luxury amenities that is the perfect jumping-off point for a new family; if they can save enough to make it into a comfortable home!

2 Bed, 1.5 Bath - Min. 20 x 15 Lot - (It really should be CC-Free, I apologize for the CC flag!)

This is meant to be a simple home with lots of room. I’ve always been a bit frustrated by Starter Homes that only have one bedroom/bathroom and a tiiiiiny amount of space, so this was an attempt to make something I could actually see a family living in and growing into. ^^ It’ll just need a bit of work to get there, hence the cheap furniture and lack of luxuries.
