world building has become so much better

this is an early wip but i wanted to finally try building with my modifications of the world. and this is way better than the nightmare it was with the initial EA layout. the biggest relief was finally being able to create my own layout, with roads and sidewalks.

as you might have noticed, the world's texture is completely made of concrete. it will be totally possible to create an NYC-style neigbourhood for example (or any kind of city). i think that when it is published, it may come in 3 versions: grass, concrete, and a combination of both. so you'll really be able to create any kind of world. except, naturally, a water-based world.

It's Patch Day!

EA is releasing a major patch today, which may cause issues—especially for relationship-based mods. This is your reminder to back up your important mods and saves before updating. If you’re on Windows, you can use my free Clean Launcher tool for Windows (recently updated and much improved) to back everything up to any location you choose, so you’re ready when it’s safe to play again.

While you’re waiting for mods to be cleared, try out Mod Profiles. Start with all your usual mods in the Mods folder—these become your Default Mods. Then remove them from the Mods folder (yes, you can delete them; you have your backup) and add only your CC must-haves (like a default skin replacement). Hit Create New and give it a name—for example, Vanilla-ish. Clean Launcher will back up your new profile, and you can switch between them as you choose. You can even set a default profile to load with the game from the Main Menu, if you want to!

Your Default Mods stay safely backed up, and you can view their location from the More button. You can also add notes to each profile so you always know what’s what.

Question for TS4 Modders

If I hypothetically wanted to read through all of the text strings in the game, like all the career chance cards and npc dialogue (those little lore bits you can ask certain npcs about), is there a way for me to do that?

I want to comprehensively catalogue the npcs lore, and I'd like to know that i've seen all of it. I would also like to look for hidden lore in the career chance cards.

I just want to poke through the files and record what i find, is that reasonably achievable for someone with basically no coding/modding experience?

hey y'all are there any sims 4 mods that add murder that isn't extreme violence? i know that's like the reccomended one but it feels,,, too much? if that makes sense?

Grilled Scallops

Sunny and Olivia live by the sea in Brindleton Bay, and love to collect fresh scallops that sometimes wash up on the shore. Occasionally, Sunny's work brings him to Sulani, and he always returns with a bag of scallops from the fish market vendors. Olivia grills the scallops in their shells with butter, garlic and parsley, and they sit out in the summer evening and eat them with a generous glass of white wine.

hey modders what tools would i need to update no EA lashes for tots and babes? Cien specifically mentions S4S breaks stuff and i am seeing why. i've been out of it for a while, how would i extract the default heads? I'm trying s4pe but it's not helping waah
