I started a new podcast lately after watching a bunch of Queer Eye, I discovered Jonathan Van Ness has one called Getting Curious that covers a lot of different topics and it’s been fun to listen to! I listened to an episode today where he spoke to a therapist that specializes in eating disorders, which I found really insightful since garal canonically has an eating disorder that he struggles with. I think there’s a lot of pressure to look a certain way in order to uphold societally structured gender expectations regardless if you’re more fem presenting or masc presenting and it’s important to me to show that people come in all shapes and sizes, that no one size is inherently healthier than the other - that it depends on the person. Garal being mostly masc presenting, I thought it would be important to have his body type more thin without it being glorified the way many models are. It’s important to have protagonists that aren't built like Hercules, or Goku - to show realistic humans/individuals. On another note: I’m so incredibly thankful for having such supportive friends who are more than willing to help me in my comic journey. QwQ that 3d model of a cart is from my friend @fae_draws_good and they have so many more assets that I’m going to use over and over. My favorite being the caravan. :3 I can’t wait till they get a travel upgrade in the story so I can show it off. #digitaldrawing #rhocomic #mangastyle #comicartist #panels #csp #timelapse #speedpaint #artprocess #originalartist #webtoon #webtoonartist https://www.instagram.com/p/CaA7NFqLS7F/?utm_medium=tumblr
