It was just a simple thanks- that was all. At least, that’s what the Prince told himself as he had been setting it up.Just a thanks for the most important person in his life, the person who worked hard without any gratification. The person he loved more than anyone in the world. Just a thanks.
It wasn’t much by any means, but it was the best he could do. the food had been cooked himself, from scratch, thanks to one of the ladies that had been linger in the kitchen after his first attempt. He’d burned everything. (Prince Jay was glad she didn’t ask why he wanted to cook a meal on his own when he could easily ask one of the chef’s to do it for him.)
A week later, and it was perfect. Or, well, better than the prince had every done before anyway. He’d never done this much without the help of his wonderful servant. It was a ways away from the main town, out behind a small section of forest. No one would catch them. Interrupt them. Tear them apart. Jay made sure of that much.
the blanket was all spread out and the food was displayed across it with a few different dishes. (He hoped it tasted okay, hoped Jun liked it at least a little) Thankfully, his sister made the display- Jason had never been good at arranging things to make them pretty- and stood guard to keep everything nice until he could grab Jun Suh and bring him out there.

It wasn’t difficult to track Jun down. he had been looking for Jay anyway, worried expression set on his face as he checked all the usual areas in the Palace. It made Jay smile.
“Jun, I have to show you something, come on, quickly!” He grabbed his beloved servants arm and tugged, excited.
“there you are, Prince! Where’d you gone to this time? You need to finish your studies or the tutor won’t be please. Again.” His voice was agitated, but his face said otherwise.
“Later, I promise, “ Jun’s face said he didn’t trust the Prince’s words, “Really, I just want you to see something first,” The servant relented and let himself be dragged.
“You’d better not be causing too much trouble.”
