Shizu-coaster
Erika likes it when Shizuo picks her up and swings her around in circles really fast. She calls it "going on the Shizu-coaster" because she doesn't always have enough money to go to the carnival.

Send me ∇ for a headcanon about my character’s relationship with yours.
I am gonna pretend that this is in context of that Marriage meme just because I had this idea and it is cute!
Erika sometimes refers to Shizuo as "samurai-sama," she does this when he is angry and she wants to calm him down, when things are quiet and she wants to make him happy, or if she's ready for a roll in the mattress.
Shizuo x Erika! Your take on this ship?
//
I ship it! I think they could be good together.
Erika knows that Shizuo is potentially dangerous to be around but she thinks that it would be stupid to avoid him just because of that. A person can be around Shizuo all they want just as long as they take care to avoid projectiles.
She believes that if you are around Shizuo and you get hurt then it's probably your own fault. The fact that she doesn't mind being around him means that she willingly and consciously chooses to risk making him angry.
That doesn't mean that she fears him, though. She believes that as long as she's careful and as long as she dodges in time, there should be nothing wrong with being around him.
Additionally I see Erika as a very perceptive person due to her background as a torture technician (reading facial expressions) and her extensive reading of manga and studying emotional images. She has the feeling that Shizuo really isn't a bad guy and that there's probably someone really cool underneath, and she'd like to see that.
I see them as sort of alike in some ways. Erika doesn't allow herself to be hurt by it and it doesn't control her life, but on some level she believes that she'll never find someone to love or love her because she's such an eccentric, unorthodox personality. She also doesn't believe that she deserves to be loved because of all the things she's done in the past.
She does/would understand Shizuo on that level in that neither of them think they can be loved or think that they should love another person because of how badly they'd probably hurt them -- though Erika thinks she'd hurt them on a more psychological level.
I basically see them as these incredibly different yet similar cuties with amazing potential to help each other grow, both as friends and perhaps future lovers.
Relationship Headcanon: Shizuo
From pictures and the gift of imagination, Erika quite likes the way that Shizuo looks with his natural hair color. She would likely try to convince him to go back to his roots, though she would understand if he wanted to keep it blonde.
In that event she would likely take up the task of bleaching it for him, considering it a bonding experience.
And of course no good hair-bleaching is complete without a Karisawa Head Massage.
[ Shizuo/Erika! :3 ]
Who cooks: Erika would learn to cook for him, and pack him neat little lunches every day to take with him for work.
Who does the laundry and other chores: They split these up, though Shizuo ends up doing most of it because Erika distracts herself with things.
How many children do they have: At least two; more if they are able to adopt, or if Erika's body is able to sustain more than one pregnancy.
Who’s more dominate: Erika is more readily dominant although she allows Shizuo to dominate her, and occasionally he does really overpower her.
Favorite nonsexual activity: Erika follows Shizuo outside and sits with him while he smokes, keeping him company and talking about random things to fill the space.
Their favorite place to be together: In their apartment.
Any traditions: Watching bad romance movies and making fun of the poorly-written main characters.
Their “song”: "I Want to Know What Love Is" - Foreigner
What they do for each other on holidays: Stay in bed with each other, buy each other gifts (large or small) and one another's favorite meals.
Where did they go for their honeymoon: Tom paid for a trip to a hot spring where they could be alone and relaxed (and definitely, definitely not angry).
Where did they first meet: They met through Kadota several years ago, but hadn't really spoken until several years later.
Any pets: A dog, if anything.
What do they fight over: Whether or not Shizuo still has feelings for Izaya (Erika insists that he does).
Do they go on vacations, if so where: They don't go often but occasionally they go back to the hot spring where they had their honeymoon.
Relationship Headcanon: Shizuo
Erika would oftentimes steal Shizuo's vests and put them on a pillow. That way when he wasn't around and she missed him she could hug it and smell his cologne and his cigarettes.
She would never steal more than one at a time, however, and she would always make sure to take good care of them since she knows how much they mean to him.
Relationship Headcanon: Shizuo
// I have interacted with a few Shizuo's here and Erika doesn't have a relationship beyond friendship with any of them thus far. Therefore this headcanon is based off of my interpretation of canon Shizuo, mixed with shizu-chan-heiwajima's version of Shizuo, and strongmanwithsoftheart's version of Shizuo!
IF ERIKA WAS IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH SHIZUO:
Erika would try her hardest to bring Shizuo out of his shell. She understands that he is afraid to hurt people and she admits that there is a possibility, but she believes that he does a lot more harm than good by shutting himself away. Whether directly or indirectly (sneakily), she would force him into new experiences and introduce him to alternative ways to deal with his issues.
In public Erika would be very active and attempt to draw most of the attention onto himself so people wouldn't bother Shizuo too much as an attempt at damage control. She would also make a show of comfortable she is around Shizuo to try and change peoples' perceptions of Shizuo and, in turn, not make him feel so much like a monster. Even if he does like to be left alone.
In private Erika would be a little more reserved (compared to how she is in public, at least). She would try to use her own experiences and wisdom to help Shizuo through his problems, helping him to understand how common his sorrows are and how it's not impossible to change his state of living for the better.
Erika dislikes the smell of smoke but she would oftentimes follow him out on his smoke breaks anyways, perching herself nearby and talking to him about random things to keep him company.
She would also be content to sit quietly by him if she ever felt that he was overloaded and needed peace.
Erika would attempt to get Shizuo to read manga but even if he refused she would still tell him about the things that she reads, if only to not leave him out of that large part of her life.
Even as his girlfriend Erika would still ship Izaya and Shizuo together -- she would just not do it as much. However, every time Erika mentioned it, Shizuo would seal her mouth with a kiss. Of course... Erika would just continue as an excuse to get more kisses.
Despite Erika's lack of taste for drinking, she and Shizuo would double as good drinking buddies. A part of their bonding experience would be hitting the bar at Simon's and waddling home in the dead of night, crawling into bed and sleeping in the next morning.
As much as Erika would trust Shizuo not to hurt her, she'd still be very careful to keep herself out of the way of his anger -- for his sake, not for hers. She would know that he wouldn't forgive himself if he ever hurt her and even if she wouldn't mind accidentally being injured by him, she would rather not have to face his guilt.
Erika would try to form good relationships with Tom and Kasuka to help form a solid circle for Shizuo, as a sort of family. Since Erika feels at home with her gang she would want to give Shizuo that same sort of homely experience with his friends.
IF ERIKA WAS PREGNANT she would slowly get Shizuo used to the idea of touching her and touching the baby. She would always be taking his hands and bringing them down onto her belly, trying to get him to touch her for longer periods of time to show him that he wasn't going to hurt anything. When the baby was born she would hold it near him and encourage him to take it from her, finding imaginative ways of explaining why he could not possibly hurt the little thing with his inhuman strength.
IF ERIKA WAS DYING she would call Shizuo immediately (assuming that she could) and ask him to come to her, though she would hide what was going on for as long as possibly. She would unload her wisdom onto him, hoping that he could use her knowledge to solve his own problems without her having to be there. She would also tell him that she'd come haunt him if he didn't stop being afraid of himself.
IN CONCLUSION:
Erika's relationship with Shizuo would be built off of the foundation of their similarities between each other. Erika believes that she is undeserving of love because of her past and she would use those emotions to understand and aid Shizuo in his own inability to love himself.
Erika would play a lot of damage control for Shizuo's sake, not allowing him to lose himself to anger -- even if it's inevitable that sometimes he does go crazy.
In all she would use herself as a support beam to give him the emotional and mental strength that he lacks.
