Short bread cookies!! So yum, so easy💖

1 1\2 cup unsalted softened butter

1 1\2 cup powdered sugar or confectioners sugar

3 cup flour

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

That's it! Mix the butter for about 30 seconds with a mixer, then add the sugar and mix until smooth, then add the flour. Itll be a crumbly but smooshable dough.

I put it in a cookie sheet with parchment paper, bake for about 12-15 mins. Just until "tan" but not brown. Soooo good with coffee or tea!☕💖🧡

I got my raise yall!!

I'm so stupid happy you guys. This is gonna mean we finally have some breathing room. We might even get off food stamps. I might cry.

I've been the sole provider for my family since I was 17.

I had to drop out of high school in my sophomore year so I could work full time. It's been hard, supporting me and my sister, brother and mother. Not that I didn't want to, family is everything. But it was tough. I felt the whole weight of the family on me, and when I was younger it felt so heavy. I was convinced that if I fucked up, we would be homeless. It gave me ulcers (that I didnt tell anyone about for months. Lol no money to go to the doctor 🤣)

It got better. Incrementally.

I went to college, got my learn on. Worked my way up. And now 18 years later, I'm making more money than anyone in my immediate family has ever made.

I'm not one to brag. But shit I'm so happy. I'm just happy I can give my family more because they deserve it too.

Went to walgreens for some things while wearing my Daryl Dixon jacket. Overly talkative guy behind me in line spotted it.

Guy: Daryl Dixon...that guys cool. I actually met him once up in Tulsa.

Me: Oh yeah? That's cool.

Guy: Yeah. That guys got big hands.

Me: ....what?

Guy: Yeah, like huge hands. Really big hands for an actor...

I mean...that's a really weird thing to say and all...

But now I really wanna know how damn big they are!🤔🤔

I just had an incredibly obvious revelation, that I am definitely NOT attracted to people based on looks. Okay, duh

But what just hit me was that I'm the MOST attracted to affection. Not just like, affection towards me. But mostly how affectionate they are towards other people. Their friends, strangers, family. If someone can be open and loving and affectionate and caring it just gives me instant chick wood.

Emotional openness and communication. *That* would be so hot.

I think knowing this will help me retune my radar in the future.
