Thespians, 9th June at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre Guildford.

A new musical following the birth of acting, and a must see for all fans of ancient Greece, theatre, and comedy.

This was my first time seeing the show, not to be the last as I immediately booked it again straight after!

As a fan of theatre and ancient greek theatre, having studies Classical Civilisations, this show was the perfect combination of so many of my interests! Nnn

It had amazing joked and puns, brilliant references to Greek myths, and a wonderfully fitting setting of the festival of Dionysia. The songs and book were incredibly written, the story comedic yet heartfelt at the right times, the incredibly set and lighting design, and some wonderful queen representation. But, most importantly, it was full of absolutely phenomenally performances. Everyone played their role so well, with special ahout-outs of mine going to Rhys Taylor, playing The Tyrant, and the iconic energetic narrating duo of Rhapsodes, played by Allie Dart, and Bard, payed by Matt Cavendish.

Thespians is absolutely the show to see this pride month and following months it's on tour! Please do support this new musical!
