Film needs beginning, middle, and end.
Straight-cut is the normal and most reasonable rhythmic transitional device. Use fade-out, fade-in, dissolve, wipe, flip frame, or jump out only for purpose and create interesting affect.
Axis of Action (180 Degree Rule)-- states that two characters in the same scene should always have the same lift/right relationship to each other.
Everything happens/ apply for reason. Do not use it because you just like it.
