ribbon eel and ribbon eel inspired outfit on my pinterest 💙💛
Please also consider the ribbon eel. They are gorgeous and goofy looking, belonging to the "worm on a string" genus of animals.
They're born as males, but transition to females as they grow up!
Not to mention they're practically living pride flags!
sorry but why do we here on tumblr.com not talk more about ribbon eels? a canonically trans sea critter?? hello???

Ohayo Gozaimasu~! What is this Tofu's opinion on Eels?
Well this is random, Anon, though I DO love eels. So thank you very much for giving me the chance to do this!
I mean.... what’s NOT to love about that? It’s so majestic! Ribbon Eels are very pretty, aren’t they?
Just look at it’s little face!! (Awh)
Even Ghost Ribbon eels are fun! Look at its little eyes! Below, is an American eel which actually can be found in the Hudson River in New York! (My Environmental Science Class took an eel trip!)
Ribbon Eels
Ribbon eels have long protruding nostrils which are almost seahorse like in appearance. Ribbon eels use their nostrils to sense vibrations in the water which helps them to hunt and defend themselves. As with moray eels, divers often mistake ribbon eels as being aggressive as they are commonly seen with their mouths opening and closing in what could be interpreted as a threatening manner when they are in fact just breathing.
