with the shrine nearby, surrounded by bamboo, he swings his sword at the air. the air makes a like swish noise as its cut through. his moves are careful and steady, his goal is to practice and refine his techniques. who knows when he would need it for combat again as this world is constantly throwing surprises at their residents.
he picks up his pace, his blade moving quicker, now a blur that occasionally glimmered with the reflection of the sun’s light. mikazuki stops suddenly, however, when he senses the presence of something familiar, but he does not recognize the face at all. in a smooth, controlled fashion, he sheathes his blade and turns to face the newcomer.
“ah, hello there child,” he says, immediately assuming the short, childlike figure in front of him is a child despite knowing looks can be deceiving. “are you lost? looking for someone? perhaps... even looking for me?” mikazuki’s smile widens, then continues with whimsy in his tone,
“you’re like me, aren’t you?” he tilts his heads, lays one finger by his lips, and he says, “are you new here? i believe we’ve never meet before.”
