He closes the door behind her and starts setting up to cook, making sure various spots are clean.
“Ya know, while I’m here, I still wanna make a garage and grille type place. If I can get Buford the 3 legged table back, it’ll make delivery easy.” He glances over at Paprika cautiously. “Would you...”
No he couldn’t ask. “Would you grab that pan for me??” He says instead.

“This place is always weird. Not as weird as Camp, but pretty weird. I’m staying at house 108 now. Wanna walk with me and I can cook us some food?”
“Yes. Still at my place. Dunno who lives there now, days started to blend together when That Thing came to the island for a while.”
“That thing?” Leo raised an eyebrow as he started walking towards his new house. “Honestly, I wanna get my own place. Like, really my own place. I want it to be like the cabin I had in camp.”
“You could probably do that, give it a few months. …. I meant the thing my mother is in a deal with. I… dont feel comfortable talking about it publically.”
“I think you’d like the Hephaestus cabin. We had a workshop too. It was nice how they had stuff for just about anyone.” He nodded in understanding though, opening the door to his house for her. “Well, we’ll be in private in a moment.”

“I missed you too, buddy. What’s been up? What I miss?”
“You better have. It’d break my heart if you forgot all about me in a couple months.” As for what he missed, Dirk just shrugs. “I got some more of my shit back. Still working for Wayne. The city went to hell in a handbasket and righted itself again. So. You know. Same old same old. ”
Leo grinned. “Well, can’t go breaking your heart. Ah gods. Wayne. He made a note to ask if he still had a job. He hoped so. “What did you get back? Anything cool?”
“Admit it, you missed me.”
Sudden hug tackle. Gently.
“More than you can imagine…”
“Woah! Hey Paps.” Leo chuckled and patted her hair. “What’s up?”
“I missed you. Also this place was madness a few weeks ago.”
“Aw, I missed you too. You hungry? You can tell me everything I missed while we eat.”
“…. Yes. Thanks for reminding me i need to eat, heh.”
“I figured you would need it. We all forget.”
