his goal vs porto. the physics of that goal were debated for WEEKS and i’m still not sure if it touched the ground or not. and then the celebration: the run over to the fans then all the boys enveloping him with awe and shock and love on their faces. yeah <3

his first goal vs southampton. ofc that happened during the Cursed Season but it just fulfils a narrative core that i hold very dearly in my heart. like everyone is saying that he’s not as good as he used to be and obviously he struggles w injuries when he gets here and as a whole we’re having a horrible season but his first goal was just the start of ppl actually appreciating his talent, and then from there on, he became such a vital point of our midfield and he has such great partnerships w the team on the pitch and idk that goal just represented a feeling of “oh wow he’s here and he plays for my club” like how is that real
