I impulse-bought identical siblings. I couldn’t bear to see them exalted and I love them already even if my clan’s vault guard and gold collectors are glaring at me ;A; (they also have some of Kata’s wonderful art, so I Had to snatch them)
Kutta (female-pose) and Ricben (male-pose) are Dream Eaters and Dream Walkers, respectively. It’s unknown what exactly they are, though it’s believed they may be spirits of some kind.
They have no physical forms and when seen in the waking world they appear only as wispy shadows or tricks of the light.
Ricben enters others’ dreams, laughing and smiling, putting them at ease with the sweetest of dreams, letting them see what they most love and desire. He allows his sister in only when the dragon’s guard is down. She keeps her head low, only humming in answer, watching the dreams with too much interest. Throughout the encounter, the dragon could swear Ricben grew more fur, or that Kutta looked more like a bird than she did a moment ago, but the changes are too subtle, too slow, to tell for sure.
Too subtle, until Ricben definitely has a mane now. He didn’t have one before, did he? Too subtle, until Kutta is a beastly owl larger than she’d been a moment ago.
By the time the poor dreamer knows something’s wrong, that the siblings have become something they can no longer call dragons, Kutta eats the dream while he brother prevents the dragon from waking up.
A dragon who has had a dream devoured by Kutta is said to never dream again.
(Ricben’s accent: Beltane by Endivinity)
