Soldiers Of Destruction
Some of us are soldiers, but we're not fighting for a cause
in this war some of us joined, and some were enrolled by force
we've contributed to making this the crime Capitol of the world
kids die here daily, because of us
way more than what you've been told
this system works for us
we do the crime, don't mind the time
it's a flawed cycle of catch and release
repeat offenders, we get out with ease
about numbers; some of us live by it, some of us will die for it
without a thought even the innocent we'd sacrifice
because of loyalty we will pay any price,
but when karma strikes and pays its dues
we the killers become helpless victims and the hearts of our kin gets bruised
their tear flooded eyes seeing red, seeking blood
wanting vengeance forgetting the all the terrors caused by their beloved
the eulogy won't talk about how
we were preying on society
they won't say we were evil, the instruments of tyranny
or ask any forgiveness on our behalf from families we may have hurt
No. our mourners will only cry for us
and remember that we were good to them
and not long after it's this very loyalty to us
that will cause the wars to start again
more will die with no peace in sight
because some of us are soldiers, but we're not fighting for a cause
