The rice experiment is another famous Emoto demonstration of the power of negative thinking (and conversely, the power of positive thinking.) Dr Emoto placed portions of cooked rice into two containers. On one container he wrote “thank you” and on the other “you fool”. He then instructed school children to say the labels on the jars out loud everyday when they passed them by. After 30 days, the rice in the container with positive thoughts had barely changed, while the other was moldy and rotten.

I will be starting the rice experiment again soon! I'm quite excited to see how the result turn out. Sadly the last one got knocked over. I apparently never posted this fact and I'm sorry for anyone who was curious about it and never got that update.

I'll also be more diligent with updates and post images of the tubes this time.

Rice experiment!

So after 4 (I think 4...) days I have some results! Well -ish.

First off, all the tubes have this brownish layer forming at the top of the water, which is the only change. BUT the tubes that have 'LOVE' and the tubes that I speak positively towards have what I consider significantly reduced brown layer growth.

Maybe it's too early to make a definitive statement, but I think this alone is pretty cool.
