Today one of my co workers saw that I didn't really have lunch prepared. All I had were my oh-so-precious rice snacks. So she offered to take me to lunch. Super sweet. She leaves my classroom saying she'd be back. An hour goes by: I'm aware that she has duties today so I'm thinking she just got busy. Another hour goes by: Ok maybe she forgot, or maybe she didn't mean to propose lunch for today? (Her English was struggling a little during our conversation). I check her status on the computer and it showed that she had logged out which meant that she definitely wasn't in her classroom and could possibly have even left the school. Still giving the benefit of the doubt I continue to wait. A third hour goes by and I finally cave, I'm looking and feeling like a vampire that needs blood so I open my rice snacks and start chowing like a fat beaver when suddenly what do I see in the corner of my eye...a shadowed figure standing at my door; the teacher in complete shock. 😳 (I could only hope that her shocked face was from the fact that I was already eating and not from HOW I looked eating). She comes in and apologizes, apparently the principal and vice principal invited her to lunch so she just got back from that and wanted to reschedule another day with me. Praying to the lord above that rice crumbs weren't smothering my face we discussed some options, but who knows. The moral of the story is, things like this ALWAYS happens to me. Ever since I was a kid I would wait hours and hours on people but the second I take action to do something about it, the problem fixes itself. I have another example from today: a bug was swarming around me for hours and when I finally decided to literally stand up and kill it, it disappeared 🙎🏾‍♂️. #StoryOfMyLife 😂
