what are your thoughts on owen & what he said in the past that were problematic (regarding rape, etc)? do you overlook them bc his music is separate from who he is as a person or are you less likely to support him bc of his doings?

Rape isn’t funny or something to joke about and it was wrong for sure, but I can’t really take him all that serious on any of the stuff that comes out of his mouth because he’s basically a child on crack.

He’s literally all mouth.

I like Owen as a musician and a person despite what he said. I think he’s an idiot for saying it but at the same time I’ve said and done dumb shit and I have friends who have said and done shit as well so I’m not really in any position to judge him on anything. Also the key part of saying something like that is realising that ‘ohhh that’s fucked up no that’s not funny let’s not do that again’, which he did.

I don’t so much overlook what he did, because every time I listen to his music I’m reminded that he’s on the public enemy list but at the same time, it happened in 2017 and he’s changed a lot since then.

If I can still enjoy music made by Jay-Z who stabbed a man, iLoveMakonnen who shot his friend in the head and called it self defence, and Gucci Mane who killed his ex-best friend over a chain and bragged about it in rap songs for years, then I can listen and support an Asian dipshit who says offensive bullshit on camera.
