We have arrived in Chengdu China! After our Columbus OH wedding we got ourselves to San Francisco for a night before our 12+ hour flight to China!

We ate a delicious meal in San Francisco at Rich Table, highly recommend if you’re in town! We wanted to eat one last “American” meal before who knows what we’d get into in China. As you can see our first Chinese meal was traditional hotpot. We met up with all of our photographer friends here for a great, spicy, food experience around the hotpot.

We learned a lot about how to eat this food and here is my biggest suggestion, stay away from eating the actual peppers. Also make yourself the little bowl of oil, cilantro, garlic, etc to dip all of the spicy meats into before consuming. Oh and did you know that if you toast someone in China everyone has to finish their drink? We might be in trouble this week!
