as for Richard and Helen, here's some!

- they met because they were a few of the only disabled kids in school [and the only ones using wheelchairs] and often got lumped together, so they figured they could at least get to know each other

- beat each other up in the 5th grade over something they can't even remember now [think along the lines of Tweek vs Craig] , but they ended up becoming friends a little while after

- this is why they find Timmy and Jimmy's fight so funny, because it reminds them of themselves as kids

- the Burch fam can all understand each other, and after some practice, Jimmy gets the hang of understanding Richard and Helen too

- like Timmy, they can eventually say Jimmy's name after some time. Helen has a little trouble, but can still say it

- Timmy gets a lot of his music and stylistic influence from his dad, who dressed and acted a lot like how my fanon Timmy does post covid

- both Richard and Helen have their ears pierced- Richard has doubles + his R eyebrow. Helen's were pierced when she was a kid, while Richard got his in high school

- they're not particularly fond of Ryan and Sarah Valmer, given their treatment of Jimmy. as their kids get older, they become alright with Sarah, but still dislike Ryan

- once the technology got there, they would both have their own AAC devices [so around the time Timmy's in high school]

- even though Timmy eventually learns to speak in the future, they would stick to their limited vocabularies [aside from learning some more important words/names], and continue to use devices to talk to others

- they're supportive of all of Timmy's endeavors, since they're just happy he's healthy and thriving

- they love Jimmy and allow him to stay over frequently. they knew he'd be in their life for a long time, whether he and Timmy grew up together and stayed friends or eventually became something more [which they did]

- they no longer eat turkey because of Gobbles

- they attend Timmy's concerts whenever they can, typically with ear protection as they age

- Helen loves to paint sceneries and different types of plants. she likes similar music to her boys, but aesthetically she loves softer, daintier things

- Richard is still the same punk at heart, given that he still has his piercings and listens to the same music he did in his younger years

- they paint each other's nails

Do you have any hcs for the Burch family life right before Timmy?

Yeah, I have a few little headcanons! I haven't really thought much about it yet though.

I think the Burch family has a nice life!

Basically,On workdays, they handle their own work separately in the study upstairs. They stay close to each other and sometimes flirt a little. After finishing work, they go downstairs and have dinner together. Then they sit in their wheelchairs and watch TV in the living room before going upstairs to sleep. When they have spare time, they also go out for walks in their wheelchairs, enjoying a really relaxed life.

During long vacations, Helen and Richard would travel around and hang out together, just like newlyweds on their honeymoon. What a lovely…such sweet couple. I think they’ll still keep this sweet lifestyle even after Timmy is born.The difference is they have to spend more time and energy taking care of Timmy.

hello friend! i decided this was a good time to respond to this ask, given that i recently took a read at your ao3 (your fics are pretty good!)

im heavy basing this on the timmy timeline i made a LONG WHILE AGO

i think richard is american, and was part of the disabled kids the valmers bullied in high school (classic i know, but i love this hc)

his last name was darren, and he went abroad to study in england in his twenties, and thats where he met helen! (and her older headcanoned sister, gemma, mother of francis) (YES the francis timmy cousin hc is here too). their names quickly became part of each others vocab and richard is the one to take her last name

helen's pregnancy created VERY DIVIDED reactions in her family (mostly negative) and when timmy was born, gemma offered to help taking care of the baby (so shes kind of like angie lol)

personality wise, i think richard is rather grumpy and doesnt show much emotion, while helen is more reserved and expressive

and now for angie, hmm... i think that maybe sometimes she can be TOO protective of her sister because she saw firsthand how life treated her as a disabled woman (and mother for that) and maybe shelters her a little ?

also i feel like she could be the kind of person that LOVES seeing alternative styles, but feels like she could never pull them off herself lol

I remember I did one with @10010imto and it was so fun! And I just saw collabs with other people including them, as well as Jamesss and яnчеgг over on TikTok! I love everyone’s unique art styles :D

That would be fun for me to do in the future (I’m not forcing you to art collab with me, it’s just there if you want to). Respect goes both ways!
