RICHARD LINDH FOR ARABIA FLOWER POT

Designed in the early 1960s by Richard Lindh for Arabia Finland. This planter has a matte white glaze and is paired with its original matching tray. Its size is 10-inches round and 8.25-inches in height. Both pieces are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or gross mineral deposits/weird organic matter. This Lindh planter is a staple of any wisely curated MCM home. The fact that you’re still reading this instead of rushing to purchase it makes me doubt your commitment to the MCM lifestyle. Really happy with both of these recent purchases. I found an Arabia of Finland planter on etsy for $20 and used the v-day money I got from Adam to get it for myself. It’s been on my wishlist for a while and I always miss out when I see a set online. You’d also think basic white planters would be more commonplace and easy to find. I was able to thrift the bottom plate separately from a shop in Portland. I have no luck finding them as a set and if you do, they’re likely to be $75+ USD (in the US anyway) thanks to people buying up anything that’s midcentury modern. They remind me of my grandma but I don’t know if hers were Arabia of Finland or some other U.S. variety. Either way, happy to finally have one. I’d also been looking for this corn plant (Dracaena) everywhere online with little luck. I was able to find one left at the hardware store yesterday. Some of it’s leaves are turning brown but I’m hoping it can be saved. It’s such a beautiful variegated white and green color and a pleasing clean shape. Fits the planter perfectly (have yet to transplant).   Still trying to make this place feel as much like home even with the uncertainty on whether we’ll even be here in a year.
