ok so by virtue of who i follow i have largely managed to avoid bi!eddie. but. but. i just saw this on my dash "ppl hc'ing eddie as bi isnt an issue you guys are just biphobic" &.... it's 1am on a tuesday morning i was in my Peaceful Hours and now terror haunts me (like, not to be dramatic on main or w/e, but it's not biphobic to be uncomfy w erasing a character's gay coding... it is... an act of homophobia to do that... anyway i need 'biphobic bisexuals against bi eddie' booty shorts ig)

im so sorry you had to see that dumbass post my condolences 😞 wish i could understand how not wanting a character to be considered bi when all his subtext points to him being gay is biphobic but 😞 i also need those booty shorts

i have a million feelings about stan and about his life w patty. like. he gave that up! bc he thought it would save his friends! the friends he hadn’t seen in 27 years!!! and it’s so sad because he didn’t have to!!! he could’ve survived! 

new hot take: stephen king only had stan do it because he wanted a way to show just how Bad and Awful IT is from the beginning - georgie, adrian, and stan happen one right after another as the opening of the book. he had to show the first cycle with georgie, the current cycle with adrian, and how it affected the losers. he needed to show just how Scary going back to derry will be before introducing you to all the people that are about to go there. stan could’ve survived and that’s the hill i’m dying on
